Mangas sind Bücher und haben daher schon immer einen Anteil auf der Leipziger Buchmesse, die sich über die Jahre als großer Treff von Mangafans und Cosplayern entwickelt hat. Seit 2014 gibt es integriert in die Leipziger Buchmesse die Manga-Comic-Convention mit einem vollwertigen Conventionprogramm.
